Description
Every day I see many disabled persons trying to walk across the intersection during the allotted crosswalk time. Many don't make it and stumble. It would be nice to make NH more accessible for elderly and impaired walkers. Just 10 more seconds would make a difference.

I agree that we should use a higher standard (i.e., fewer "meters per second") in determining the crossing time.
Does anyone know if the City currently has a standard for this?
This was discussed at several City meetings as part of the Route 34 redevelopment.

Could the City easily publish a list of allotted time for each intersection in Downtown, combined with the presumed crossing distance?
It would be interesting to compare which areas get adequate time, and which do not.
