The Town of North Hempstead has reviewed your complaint. and determined that the issue lies outside of our jurisdiction. Traffic Signals encased in green metal boxes are maintained by NYS and the telephone number to call for repair is 631-724-4040. Traffic Signals encased in yellow metal boxes are maintained by Nassau County and the telephone number for repair is 516-572-0465.
Please feel free to call the Town’s 311 Call Center for future assistance by dialing 311 if within the Town or (516) 869-6311 if outside the Town. North Hempstead’s 311 call center is open from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday to Friday, Saturday from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm.
