  And these poor victims of civil society keep wondering why they are living? in a tent on the sidewalk? You can thank Alameda county health services and these street addicts advocates for handing out tens of thousands of these epidemic needles with on way or plan to retrieve them. This is a major public, pet and wildlife heath issue. The hazardous pathogens in these used syringes can live for weeks.

  This area gets cleaned up at some expense, then within a very short period of time its filled with debris - SIdewalks should be kept clear, and minimum public safety standards must be enforced. Abandoned vehicles need to be removed, and RVs need to be removed from public streets. I know its a hard problem, but if you choose to get elected to the office, or to work for the City, you are being paid to do something about it.

  On the other side of this 23rd St / MLK, there's an empty lot that looks even worse than this picture. The encampments are now on both sides of this street. Pedestrians now have to walk on the street into the path of motor vehicles. This is especially a problem with handicap people in a wheelchair or mothers with baby strollers. A serious accident waiting to happen. Very dangerous
