Drive to Winter Street and cross Hammond there, it is only 1 block away and a minor inconvenience .
I live in the neighborhood and it is not as bad as the actual Winter Street intersection itself with people coming from the North on Hammond and stopping on the railroad tracks, they need a sign there to remind motorists that they cannot stop on tracks and to be prepared to stop North side of tracks when light turns yellow or is red, never stop on the tracks...

Yes, they moved the traffic lights to Winter for the truck route. It'll take a little while for the conditioned behavior of stopping/going at Broadway goes away, but eventually it will.

i go through the intersection every day, it's not bad to stop at the stop sign instead of the light. it just takes a little patience to wait for an open window to turn. I have found that it takes less patience then it used to if you had a red light sitting on broadway waiting for IT to turn green - that took FOREVER!! liking the stop sign idea much better now that i'm getting used to it.
