From my experience, possums are non-aggressive and do not carry rabies. They are scavengers hunting things like mice etc. They also eat ticks, which during this time of the year Is not a problem, but come summer... Not: they may hiss and bear teeth as a defensive measure but wont attack. Just my experience with them

Ive been told that, but i have always had a fear of anything othervthan a cat or dog, the fear is so bad that i begin to hyperventilate and my heart starts to race fast, i will run and scream to the top of my lungs, the look weird and they freak me out, also rats and racoons . I have a beutiful patio that i would love to sit out on in yhe summer, but because of them, i have a fear I will see one, im like a prisiner in my own home when it comes to to them things. My cat killed a rat and left it on the front porch, I was out the back door and jumped a fence! I know someone is laughing right about now but them things will make me go into cardiac arrest!!!!

I don't think animal control takes care of things like this. You'll have to call and pay a pest control company to deal with them.

I DID, price is so high,, I cant afford it. Getting some answers from family and friends suggest 1. puring down bleech or amonia. 2. We set a trap ourselfs but it will be killed as well. I was trying to do it the more humane way but to get help for something that is not even my pet theres a cost! Im sick with a auto immune disease trying to pay for my medications, food and just survive, to be told we need 250 if you want us to come out and help you. I cant afford that. Please be advised unless you are a licensed trapper in the state of Michigan, it is against redford ordinances to use a trap. We do not provide any wildlife removal. Please contact a licensed wildlife removal company for assistance.
