Notified About

  • Cornell Rd & Whittier Rd Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
There is a sinkhole at the NW corner of Whittier Rd and Cornell in the College Heights neighborhood. Very similar to the one a block away (at the NW corner of Whittier and N Mansfield) that I reported about a week ago.

  • 620 Collegewood St Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
Does this playhouse built on top of a stone shed meet codes for height, sight lines, eyesore...
  • 765 N Mansfield St Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
Previously reported #7823743 three mths ago. YCUA has not done anything about this or contacted me with a fix date. Water is still gathering at the end of my driveway due to the road patch being too high and not letting water pass to the drain. I want this fixed asap especially before winter or my driveway will crumble due to salty water sitting on it.
  • 411 Ballard St Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
Individuals from 411 ballard have been dumping their trash in clearly overfilled dumpsters causing an overflow. After the dumpsters were filled, they began throwing their trash on the ground around the dumpsters. The shared parking area is still littered with trash everywhere. The massive pileup of trash outside of the bins has also gained the interest of non-residents, and people can be seen digging through the pile for salvageable trash throughout the day. The city of Ypsilanti has been negligent in solving this issue as there are also other complaints open against these individuals with no action taken. I hope this brings more attention to the issue.
  • 261 S Wallace Blvd Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Washtenaw County

The speed that people drive down this portion of S. Wallace which is a residential street, is consistently between approximately 45 and 60 miles an hour. There are no speed limit signs on our street, although drivers should be aware of the speed limit on a residential street. S. Wallace Blvd and Mansfield (one block west) are the two streets that can be used to cut over from Packard/Cross or Congress to Michigan Ave - or the reverse. Our street is used as the cut through rather than Mansfield because there is a light at Mansfield and Michigan Ave so drivers have to stop at the intersection. S. Wallace has a stop sign at Michigan Ave but driver's rarely stop - although they might slow down a bit . There is a stop sign at Jones which they sometimes slow down for, but from there it becomes a speedway to Michigan Ave. And those turning onto S. Wallace from Michigan Ave don't slow down as they race up S. Wallace. When Susan Richmond (signer #3) was asked to sign the petition, she did so gladly and said she looked out the window one day to see cars drag racing down the street. When people who don't live on this street visit they always remark that they can't believe how fast people drive down this street.

    S. Wallace has a slight hill between Michigan Ave and Jones which limits sight distance at that point and while speed has always been an issue, it has become even more dangerous in recent months with more people out walking dogs, jogging, riding bikes and what seems to be an increase in traffic volume. There are also more children on this street now and they ride their bikes and skate boards down the street and it is really scary how close these speeding cars come to them. There have been several close calls this summer with people exiting their driveway and speeding cars and it's just a matter of time before there is a serious accident. We would love to have speed limit signs and speed bumps added to this street so we can limit the speed and chance for someone getting seriously injured.

We really appreciate your help getting the traffic on our street under control before someone gets seriously injured.

  • 975-999 Cornell Rd Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
Cornell between Huron River Dr and Washtenaw has several persistent issues that require immediate attention: huge potholes and poor patchwork, speeding cars through the neighborhood (need a permanent solution like speed bumps). Sidewalk crossing areas without stop signs or ramps for sidewalk safety and accessibility.

  • 801-899 Cornell Rd Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
Cornell Road is in serious need of repair. There are several pot holes. The road needs speed bumps. It is not safe for children, as cars speed through the neighborhood and rarely make complete stops or stops at all at the stop signs. The road noise because of the condition of the road is horrible. The road needs repair and needs more police surveillance to give speeding tickets.
  • Anna Ave & Elbridge St Ypsilanti, MI, 48197, USA - Ypsilanti
At 4am last night the Fire dept broke a window on a car parked in front of 447 Anna ave to get to a person having problems inside. The car was towed away, but the broken glass is still in the street where people walk their dogs.
