No Parking Bans In Effect / Please Help With Storm Drains!

There are no citywide or localized parking bans in effect at this time.  However, we do want you to keep in mind that when parking on-street, please be sure to park as close to the curb as possible.  Vehicles that block the flow of traffic will be subject to a ticket and a tow.

Due to the significant amount of snow on the ground, as well as the recent rain and what looks like to be additional snowfall in the coming days, many storm drains (catch basins) are covered in snow, preventing snow melt or rain from draining into them.  This has caused and will continue to cause excess pooling of water at street level.  Your assistance in clearing storm drains at or near your residence would be greatly appreciated in the coming days so if you are able, please feel free to collectively help the city clear as many as possible, Thank you!

Stay ahead of future storms and make your emergency parking plan. During any citywide parking ban, "don't be the odd car on the block, park on the even side of the street."  If you live on a designated snow route, there is no parking on both sides of the street when a parking ban is in effect.

Please talk to your neighbors and invite them to use your spare driveway space. We can only do this together! Do you live near an elderly or disabled resident who cannot clear their driveway or sidewalk or are you someone who is able to lend a hand?  Whether you are a resident who needs help or a resident who would like to help, sign onto Snowcrew (powered by SeeClickFix) and join a community of people who are working together to freely assist one another with winter storm related snow removal:http://www.snowcrew.org

Unless otherwise announced, trash collection WILL occur on a normal schedule.

Don't forget! During a snow storm, please work to keep your sidewalks clear to their full width. A lot of your neighbors continue to walk and use our sidewalks, and it is important for a Great City to have clear sidewalks during a storm so we all can still get to the store and to bus stops.
