Description
The political chalker has begun their vandalism of the trail for this season again. These are located all the way from the Dixwell Ave overpass to Putnam Ave and appeared fresh as of yesterday. They should also work on the penmanship of their "J"s which look more like backwards "C"s.

Vandalism? It's just chalk. It will wash away with the rain. I hope our police department doesn't waste their time trying to issue citations to people who write on the ground with chalk. What's next? Giving tickets to the parents of children who draw rainbows? By the way, the chalk markings extend north on the trail past Sleeping Giant.
Somehow, I believe our police department has much more important things to enforce.
I hope this information helps.

Tommy - This information doesn't help.
No one said it's the police that have to tend to this issue. Maybe some residents will be motivated to go for a walk outside with some water and sponge, and remove all the political extremism and misinformation from our family-oriented community asset. It's blight caused by one sad soul who can't accept an outcome 2 years after the fact.
Maybe instead of policing seeclickfix all day, you could do the same seeing as you know exactly where these markings are.
Thanks.

Hi adam,
Political extremism and misinformation? Blight? It's just chalk that will wash away with the rain. The markings look like someone is just practicing freedom of speech. If you don't like the markings, then sure, go out and wash them off.
Also, if you get a chance, please tell your family, friends, and co-workers how you feel about the chalk markings, and then, listen to their feedback.
I hope this information helps.
