Our first priority is the safety of Raleigh’s citizens and our goal is to make sure the streets and sidewalks are clear from tree debris/ branches. Due to the damage created during the recent storm event the City has been dealing with an extensive amount of tree debris throughout Raleigh. The vast majority of this debris has or is being removed and chipped. However there are locations where small portions of debris are left in or added to natural areas. This is not a common practice and most visible debris is most often the result of private yard waste being deposited on City property.
