This is one car of many on Bradley and surrounding streets that are parked with out-of-date or no permits at all, and parked every weekday, all day, in 2-hour zones to walk to work downtown, avoiding having to pay for parking. I've contacted our traffic czar about these issues, with no response. Not a priority, i guess.
Our alder states, "the city just doesn’t have enough traffic enforcement personnel to enforce all the parking rules all the time." If they won't be enforced, I don't understand why we bother having parking rules like these at all.

Our department and myself are here to serve the public, but we are not here to process needless remarks that are helpful to no one. Bradley Street is a magnet for illegal parking because of its location. Wouldn't it be easiest to train and grant one of Bradley Street's residents the authority to issue parking tickets on behalf of the city?

We've done that with the Downtown Ambassadors and the Street Smarts Ambassadors. I'm sure someone else has already thought of this, so there must be some plausible reason why it hasn't already been done.

You should start with your alderperson. Heads up, there will be folks who oppose the idea, but if they can't give you a credible reason why it's not possible, then you should keep pushing.

Good evening, I don't have particular information about how often a particular street is enforced as I just enforce during the evenings. I did follow up with people that work during the day. I just left the street and found the vehicle in the picture, I believe. It is hard to tell with a poorly taken picture of a Mazda front, but this one had Georgia plates. I assure you it was not there last time I came, as cars are moved around. 5 vehicles were found in violation. Once again, we are here to assist the public but perhaps you should follow up with someone else if you are requesting detailed information. Please feel free to comment as you see fit, but I will stand by the point that I made about needless remarks that do not help anyone.
