Stop calling them "unhoused." These are criminal vagrant drug addicts who continue to break multiple laws daily without any repercussions. Law-abiding, tax-paying, hard-working citizens are left to foot the bill. It's soft language like "unhoused" and a pathetic bleeding heart mentality that has led us to this position in the first place. Time to start calling a spade a spade, and stop feeling sorry for these criminals.

This same group of criminals has been illegally occupying space in our neighborhood for months now.
They have no interest in any type of social services and have declined the offers from ACS staff.
They are involved in narcotics trafficking and human trafficking.
They burglarize homes, cars and businesses in the area and trade the stolen goods for drugs. They vandalize public and private property and leave trash and human debris in their wake.
The multi use bike and pedestrian trail system is a public right of way and cant legally be obstructed. Its designed for commuter and recreational cyclists.
Law abiding cyclists trying to get to work and school are not able to safely navigate this trail.
Send police officers to enforce the laws against these actions.

By about 2pm on Friday 05/10/24 the group of criminals had begun their return.
Without any type of consequences for their criminal activity this cycle of the city parks and recreation department staff simply doing minor cleanip of some of the trash really is not solving the problem.
The largest group of criminals congregates between 8pm and 8am.
