Hello,
I am a Johns Creek resident and commute everyday on Old Milton Parkway. Since last week I have noticed in the evening the cycle time of the traffic light at the Chick-Fillet/Publix plaza interaction has increased too a degree that traffic on Old Milton Parkway (east) even after 8 PM backs up almost a mile.
Traffic on Old Milton Parkway is quite heavy all day and even in early evening hours. With shortened cycle time of some these side street traffic lights significantly impact the travel time. Old Milton Parkway is a main through fare which requires careful evaluation and adjustment of all the traffic lights.
Please do the necessary.

The signal at this intersection is part of a larger signal timing project that is underway along the Old Milton Parkway Corridor. Engineers are currently collecting data that will be input into traffic modeling software to determine the optimal timing of signals along the corridor to move traffic as effectively as possible. The overall effort will take a few months to complete.
In the meantime, our traffic engineers have been advised of your comment and will inspect this specific location to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly and is following its programming.
