This crosswalk (and many others downtown Raleigh) in the middle of the block has very prominent YIELD signs to cars but I try to cross this crossing daily and cars completely ignore it. I usually have to start physically walking out into the street before cars will yield. I see people waiting to cross all the time and cars do not stop. Can these crosswalks have flashing lights and/or colored markings on the road to help slow cars down? It's dangerous, I almost got hit the other day. I'm not sure it's worth having them in the middle of the block like this if cars speed up to beat the lights and don't pay attention. Thanks Raleigh.
