Description

I have a question about residential parking. I read an article on the City of Alpharetta website:
What is considered an inoperative vehicle?
Any vehicle that does not have a current license plate, has been dismantled, is not capable of being operated on a public street due to missing or inoperable mechanical or electronic parts or has been parked in the same spot on a city street for more than 10 consecutive days is considered an inoperable vehicle. Inoperable vehicles must be parked or stored in a completely enclosed building or garage or be removed from the premises.
What I would like to clarify is if a persons vehicle, whatever condition its in, even if it has tags and runs sits in the same spot for 10 consecutive days. Is that deemed an inoperable vehicle? If so can I request the city to do something about it. I have neighbors at 912 & 914 SVT who park their cars in the street, not in their garage or driveway. We have HOA covenants that say not to park in the street but there's nothing we can do legally other than send them a letter reminding them about our rules. One guy moves the car back to his driveway for a while then decides to put it back on the street. The other neighbor decided to park his SUV in our cul de sac but I got that straightened out. The car is still in the street but in front of his house where it was originally. If these cars sit for 10 days and are deemed inoperable, what can be done. If there's someone I could call to discuss this matter please provide a number. Thanks
