Tingly Ball Park is behind my house so I am with you on this crisis. I have sent for the stats from the City to find the number of times we have called 242-cops, 911 for what appeared to be an OD. Syringes and trash everywhere. It kills me that our eye witness accounts of shooting up do not factor in for probable cause to search. A few drug sniffing dogs and your idea for surveillance cameras would be a start! It seems that people who use and sell drugs have more rights than we do. The "drug store" has moved in between the childrens playground and the ball field across from the Zoo and Maria Gonzales. So far I dropped a letter off at Mayor Kellers office a few weeks ago and have not had a response. It is my hope that we can come together and make a serious appearance at City Council.

We as Law abiding citizens have no rights! The thugs/ meth heads/ and homeless( not all small majority of homeless really are homeless and want help)...City, APD,City Councilors, THE MAYOR alll point finger and really do nothing to address the epidemic that is now in ALBUQUERQUE. I can’t enjoy walking in parks without making sure me or my dogs don’t step on syringes ( i actually have a friend who did step on one she had to get vaccinated to prevent some nasty things!) I feel like i should be camping considering all the tents i see and why are people fearing the @#$% apocalypse we have the @#$% meth heads all over the city! MAYOR it’s obvious people of this city want their city back and are fed up........ why are you doing nothing you think he would have hit this epidemic head on the minute he took office.... i bet you if these people were living next to local politicians or law enforcement or by their families ..... the issues would be fixed in a heartbeat! It’s not WHAT you know but WHO you know # FedUp
