Tim i love how you close the complaint just when the drumming begins for a new day. This case is not closed, its ongoing.

Since April 30th, the Brockton Police Department has received twenty-four calls for service regarding this issue. On six dates (May 9, 13, 16, 31, June 5, 9-twice), cruisers responded and it was cleared as "Unfounded", meaning the officers could not locate anything. On several other dates (April 30-twice, May 3, 4, 10-twice, 14, 18, 19-twice, 22, 25, 28, June 1, 10, 11, and 13), the responding cruisers cleared the call "Matter Settled" or similar disposition, meaning the officer may have located something, but it was resolved and did not require further police action (such as court, etc.). On one date (May 19), a cruiser responded and the officer ultimately sought a criminal court complaint against the person. I am told by the some of the officers that the drumming is not loud enough where it should bother a reasonable person. The drummer has taken steps to insulate the outdoor shed where he plays the drums and only does so for a short time each day. Very recently, and officer actually spoke to residents in the immediate area who stated they had no problem with the drummer. A sergeant has personally spoken to the caller and so-called disturber and thought he had reached an understanding. MP
