An inspector inspected this location on 10/17/13 and found no violations at this time. Also did not detect any odor.

This is still a problem that seems to stem from the patrons of a nearby nightclub at 310 S. West St. (Club Bodi). The litter is worse on the weekends, so by the time the inspector looked at the location on 10/17, it is likely that most of the litter had blown away, since a lot of it is paper. However, I have seen all manner of trash there, including clothing, empty liquor bottles, and food items. I took the attached photos just before noon on 10/20. This is a "light" day, but there has been a lot of wind so the napkins and such that are often part of the problem have likely already blown somewhere else. However, you can see plenty of flyers from the nearby club and other establishments littering the ground, and there is evidence that patrons are consuming alcohol on public streets because the "gentleman's club" operated after hours does not serve alcohol.

Flyers from Club Bodi and other establishments are scattered all over Martin Street and Harrington Street.

It is really unacceptable that there is this much litter in this area because there is a Big Belly trash/recycling container right across the street at the corner of S. West and W. Martin.

The odor was not present today, but the day I reported the original problem it was quite strong.

An inspector re-inspected the area/property on 10/23/2013 and found scattered litter, but not enough to initiate a nuisance case.
