Broken glass in the bike lane, Poole Road, East bound. On my 14.5 mile daily bike commute, the eight-tenths of a mile on Poole Road, between Raleigh Blvd and MLK Jr. Blvd is the worst for broken glass.

Small stones / debris in the bike lane.
The owners of the small business stores cleaned and repaved their parking lot. When they cleaned their lot, they swept and blew a lot of debris out into the east-bound bike lane. The debris, made up of sediment and small stones, now has spread all the way to Parnell Drive.

Please run a street sweeper in through the area to clean up their debris.

    Thank you.

Two "Big Belly" trash and recycling bins have been moved to a temporary location during reconfiguration of Moore Square Station. It appears they are still supposed to be used, but they need a little help. Their solar panels need to be cleaned of the thick coating of construction dust and they may even need to be placed where the sun can properly send light to the solar cells. Right now, the Big Belly containers are under a roof and only when the sun is in the west do they have any chance of getting direct light. Maybe they don't need direct sunlight?

Broken Glass in the Bike Lane.
There are many small shards of broken glass in the east-bound bike lane on Poole Road with the greatest concentration between the intersections of Poole with Dallas St and Poole with King Charles Road. These shards are too small to be a problem for car tires, but can easily puncture bike tires. There are so many shards of glass in areas that the bike lane might as well be closed and people on bikes will be forced out into the lane for cars. Please vacuum sweep the bike lane. Broken glass is a constant problem along this stretch of Poole Road.

Broken Glass: There is a pile of broken glass in the center of the eastbound lane of East Hargett Street as it approaches South Bloodworth Street. On Monday morning, it was a tidy pile. This morning, it was a smaller pile, and the shards were scattered across the road. The glass looks like automotive glass.

Not long ago, I reported a street light that was not working at this location and mentioned the street light lit the bus stop. Now, I don't know if the light works or not because when I pass it in the morning, the sun is up and the lights have turned off. But I did notice the bus stop sign is missing. Is this no longer a bus stop, or is it that the sign is missing? In Google Maps, the stop is not shown, and in the application "TransLoc", the stop is not shown. So, did this stop disappear? I don't use this stop, but I have seen people who do.

There are a couple of broken glass bottles in the east bound bike lane on Poole Road and the shards force a bike out of the bike lane and into the motor vehicle lane. Can a vacuum-sweeper truck clean up the bike lanes on Poole Road?

I found a muffler from a car lying in the road at the intersection of Poole Road and Peyton Street this morning. I stopped and picked up the muffler and then set it down over behind the sidewalk on the southeast quadrant of the intersection. I didn't carry it with me because I was commuting on my bike and I had no way to carry the junk that must have weighed 15 lbs or more.
