    The hasty fix did not last one week. There is a deep hole underneath this thin veneer of asphalt. It is in a position that is bound to catch tires, typically those going west, but potentially those moving east when cars are parked on both sides of the street.

    This is more than a pothole; it is a reoccurring sinkhole. It is especially dangerous to the safety of drivers who are not familiar with this ongoing problem.

    In cleaning the beach area on Memorial Day, I encountered more debris washed ashore that seems to be coming from the abandoned boat. There is also a drum container with unknown contents. Furthermore, there continues to be scattered piles of illegally dumped household items, some of which include toxic liquids.

    A young man in this vehicle, a Toyota 92423J3, dumped bagged items from his van onto Derr St. at Lemon approx 4:00 pm 3/09/2022. I was unable to take a photo as he sped away, but was stopped at intersection of Lemon and Sonoma Blvd. I tried calling the "hotline" but it doesn't function well and sent me to other numbers that sent me back to the original number.

    The piles are being added to on a daily basis. I removed a lot of plastic debris from the water's edge, but wind and rain make it likely that more will find it's way to the watershed. Please clean up, but also determine a way of protecting this area from blight. Cameras would be great, but a reward system might help.

    There are currently three small piles along this road. Pictured is the largest and one that is actually in the road. It stayed clean for more than a 10 days after our community cleanup, so I hope quick removal will help keep it from becoming exponentially worse. Thank you for your help.
