  • S St Mary'S St Raleigh, NC - Hillsborough

When headed south on St Mary's street, after passing through the light at Hillsborough St, the next stoplight at Morgan street is timed to turn red just before reaching the intersection when driving at the speed limit.

Because the light turns red just before you reach the intersection, drivers are encouraged to speed up to get through the yellow light. Besides potentially causing a collision, there is also a dip on the far side of the intersection which could damage vehicles.

The southbound light on St Mary's & Morgan displays this behavior "every time", always with similar timing. I suggest lengthening or delaying the light change by about 3 seconds to improve traffic flow and reduce the chances of an accident from drivers speeding to make the light.

  • Western Blvd Raleigh, NC - Central

On the rightmost westbound lane of Western Blvd, past the crosswalk near Boylan Avenue, there are two potholes roughly 100-200 feet apart.

Further down Western, there is a third pothole in the leftmost westbound lane before the bend that leads under the railroad tracks.
