I saw water gushing down a slope several weeks ago. I reported the issue to police at University City division two weeks ago. I reported this suspicious activity because I had heard so much about the sewer dumping problems on the news. The officer told me they would send someone out to check it out. That was two weeks ago and the water is still gushing down the slope. On 02/19/2013 I stopped my vehicle to investigate myself only to find a fire hydrant fully open flowing at a high rate. The issue here is erosion and waste. Hydrant are on the same system we drink and bath with. Can you imagine the cost of the water being wasted from a hydrant open at full rate for several weeks?
