Dear Urban Forester,

Please see attached picture of a Norwegian Maple tree on city property between the street and side walk at 106 Livingston Street, New Haven, CT. I have confirmed at the Connecticut agricultural station that the tree is inhabited by carpenter ants and is in a weakened condition which is unsafe and poses a safety hazard for pedestrians, parked cars and nearby telephone poles.

Your attention to this safety hazard is greatly appreciated.
