Very Confusing Traffic Lanes
The stretch of Winter Street between Washington Street and where Clinton St. and Banks Place intersect with Washington Street headed toward Main Street is so difficult to navigate. The road goes from one lane coming from Glenwood Street into two lanes at the stretch mentioned above. After the intersection where Clinton St. and Banks Place meet Washington Street, it goes back to one lane headed toward Main Street. I travel this road daily and it is such a struggle to know which lane to be in if you want to go straight to Main Street. Is the left lane for turns onto Banks Place only and the right lane for traffic going straight? I have witnessed many near miss accidents and road rage incidents where people are angry at other people for not traveling in the direction they expected from being in that lane. It would be most helpful to have arrows painted on the road to designate which lane is for which direction. Also, if we could have a sign put up to direct pedestrians to use the crosswalk when crossing Washington Street. I've had several pedestrians walk out in front of my car and expect me to stop even though there is a crosswalk just a few steps away. Thank you in advance for your attention and assistance.
