I understand there is going to be some sort of berm but not like this, especially when the area in front of my driveway was completely cleared all the way out into the street prior to the plow truck coming.

Sorry to hear about that. It seem if you reside in the Lake Arrowbear area your street will be plowed last. I took care of it again and cleared the berm with my Jeep and shovels.

I don’t want to sound mean, but I wish I had a berm problem our street hasn’t been plowed in over a week. What we would give to have our street cleared so we could go get food and medicine for us and our neighbors. This is a very frustrating situation, and it seems Running Springs and other mountain communities have been forgotten.

You’re not being mean.I feel your frustration we did not see the plow for awhile andI missed almost a week of work. I’m sure other people have bigger problems than me right. There are even allowing residents to come up the hill who went down the hill earlier to pick up medication. This whole thing has been handled poorly and it’s sad. We pay a lot in taxes in this state and this is our return. I’m sorry for your situation .

When is the last time they were allowing people to come back up the 330? We’ve been checking caltrans all day the last 2 days hoping we could get down and get prescriptions but the site and the emergency line either have no info or caltrans says it’s closed coming up. We have a neighbor who’s 4x that’s parked in a cleared area that was going to let us use it but seem like we wouldn’t make it back. I’m sorry you’ve had to miss work. And yes you’re right we as Californians pay a lot in taxes and this is the help we get in a state of emergency? Very sad.

I’m sorry they are not allowing them at this point. You can go down but not up for now. They were doing escorts and then that stopped. So people now can’t come back up. There’s a Running Springers Facebook page and that’s what I’m reading. Go on there you can reas the posts

We are sorry that this occasionally happens, but in making as many roads passable to the community as a whole and as quickly as possible, there is no way to avoid it. The County snow plow operators push the snow o the roadway in smooth, continuous passes from the center of the road to the edge of the right-of-way and the snow ends up on the road shoulders, sometimes blocking driveways. Snow plows will make two passes on each side of the road, please wait until the second pass before clearing your driveway. To avoid double work, please try to shovel snow from your driveway after a plow has gone by. Shovel the snow to the right of your driveway as you face the road. Please remember as the snow continues to fall and shortly afterwards, the snow plows will continue to make passes down your road to move the
newly fallen snow to the edge of the road, and permit two way travel on your road.
