Description
It would be great for the neighborhood if a raised crosswalk with a signal could be installed crossing chapel here.
From my personal experience, cars do not stop for pedestrians despite the placement of recent signage. A sign warning cars may be fine in other cities, but in New Haven, cars are more likely to speed up when they see you in a crosswalk rather than stop.
A raised sidewalk would also help the many neighborhood visitors cross the street safely to enjoy pizza in the park.
Thanks for your help

Basically. The city doesn’t see this as a real request unless it’s pushed by the Alder.
It has been an ongoing issue where people ask for it and the city punts it back to the person to go to the Alder.
There is apparently a push for traffic things through the Wooster sq historical society as well. Tho need to ask about the specifics.
