Description
After the recent storm an unknown tree company dumped a massive tree here to rot. It needs to be cut up and removed. It is currently too large to move at all.

NB: Tree co. was unable to transport tree off site without spending time cutting up a tree that was no longer a hazard while there were more immediate concerns. Hope the city removes it, but "left here to rot" is a bit much.

Did they plan to come back for it? The tree was left adjacent to my property with no explination or notice left to me by the company or the property owner, so as far as I know they left it there for good.

I would assume someone will come back for it. The tree company was acting on behalf of the city / dominion power as that tree had fallen across the alley and taken out power lines. Not sure if you saw the removal, but they had to bring in God's own crane to lift that thing out of the alley. Couldn't get it up first try and had to cut off some length. Crane was rated at 250 tons and was carrying 36 tons of counter weight.
Glad you reported that it's still there. Just wanted to note that the crew, who didn't leave the scene until 11:30 p.m. at night, did the best they could given the situation. Pic below is from when they started at 6:00 p.m. after spending the day pulling the tree off that house that was hit in the 3900 block of Fauquier.

Thanks, that helps fill in the blank. We left for the weekend. I didn't mean to sound rude and I'm glad they were able to act quickly to get it off of someone's house. we had no idea where it came from or how it got there, and people often dump yard waste and garbage in that very spot for me to deal with and report on a regular basis.
