A small number of residents living on this road complained about increased traffic and buildup of cars by the stop sign due to the detour, and the road was closed. However, a great many more number of people have been inconvenienced due to this costly closing. If a few voices were enough to get it closed, then the many voices of the rest of us should be enough to get it opened again. There was decent traffic on Royersford Rd before, and not an unreasonable extra amount due to the first construction. These are public roads.

These complaints were unwarranted and I imagine a class action suit could and should be filed against those who approved this closing for damages due to lost income, lateness, emergency services access, etc.

I work in the Genuardis shopping center and it has severely hurt all the businesses. My restaurant is down $1000's a week. The rumor is a township official lives on Royersford Rd, hence why it was the closing was passed. Upon emailing the township manager about the issue I received no response, further validating this rumor. Please, can someone who has any sort of influence help us?

It looks like there aren't any government agencies listed as public watchers - only community organizations that probably don't have the authority to fix an issue like this. Who is responsible for fixing issues like this in Royersford? If they have a public email address we can make a watch area for them.

When Royersford Rd. was first closed (for no reason) I began taking Country Club Rd. to get to work. This road is much more dangerous to have a constant traffic flow on it! The road is narrow, has a 25 mile an hour speed limit, has a popular swimming pool/country club on it (where children and teens cross the street), and had deep potholes at the intersection of linfield trappe rd. I saw how quickly road crews had to go fix these pothole because of the increased flow. This wouldnt have been such a pressing issue if the normal amount of people were driving on the road. This closure is ridiculous and it is amazing no one from the township is giving us a straight answer as to why Royersford Rd. is so "dangerous".

Townshipline Rd opens Tuesday so I assume Rofo Rd will be opened back up... hopefully
