Description
I regularly travel on a YRT Bus to get to the GO Station on Newkirk Road. The bus travels from Bayview Ave. westbound on Centre Street and turns onto Newkirk Rd. We are always delayed to get to the train because of the left turn on Centre coming on to Newkirk. There are a lot of GO passengers and buses that need to make the train on time. It would be very helpful to have an advanced green arrow for the buses to make the left turn. On any day the light turns red three times before we can make the turn. Last week we missed the train by 2 minutes because of the wait on the intersection. Hope you can help. Thanks

concerning a westbound advance left turn signal at the intersection of Newkirk Road and Centre Street East, I would like to inform you that Engineering anticipates the newly installed westbound "left turn arrow" display to be in operation within the next two weeks (weather permitting).
Yes, there will definitely be a westbound advance phase during the time period from 6:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. when there are more than two vehicles in the westbound left turn lane along Centre Street East at the Newkirk Road intersection.
Currently, staff are finalizing the their analysis of the anticipated timing plans for the westbound advance phase (including the left turn advance arrow).
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
