Mornings and afternoons during the week, many CRLS students are dropped off on Irving right near the intersection with Cambridge St. (on the right side of the street.) This is not a problem if drivers are sensible and courteous (i.e. pull over well back from the intersection and turn on hazards, allowing other cars to get around them to negotiate the intersection.) However, too many cars stop right near the stop sign (forcing through traffic to funnel around them) and then suddenly become "active" again to make the turn (sometimes even a left turn!) at the intersection, causing confusion and frustration. Would it be advisable to either post a "No standing" sign and paint the curb red for at least 20 feet back from the intersection, or paint the curb and letter it with "No standing" or "No drop-off"? Thank you for your consideration.

This intersection is poorly understood by most motorists, who don't understand that the right of way belongs to cars hugging the park. I have had to stop short for cars turning from Garden to Alpine (when I'm approaching from the other direction), because they don't understand that they are actually TURNING in the face of oncoming traffic. So there either needs to be a three-way stop or clearer marking or signs. This seems especially important as this is also a pedestrian crossing used by students heading to Tobin/VLUS. Thank you.

Hello--Just wondering when the dog run at this location will be completed with the new surface. Currently, it's virtually unusable unless the weather has been dry and/or cold for days. (Otherwise, it's a mud pit.) Thank you.
