Tree branch fell blocking the road on June 1, 2023 around 4:30. Don’t know if any vehicles were damaged. Traffic was rerouted. Did not hear of any injuries. This is the 2nd branch to fall in 2 weeks. The last one fell on Success Ave. by Court A and a parked car was totaled. Just a year ago a tree fell on Granfield Ave. on to Building 10. The 4 families who were displaced are still not able to return to their homes. How many more branches or trees have to fall before the City of Bridgeport does something about the trees which I’ve been told are about 75 years old and some have been shaved on the bottom when the sidewalks were replaced?
