Some effort was put in recently to patch this area however the bottom line is that Park is in desperate need of a complete mill and paving project. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the works as I write this. I have spoken with several City personnel about Park Ave. from about 1st Street to Grant being repaved but there is just no funding...We will just have to be persistent of reporting to TDOT Streets Maintenance about filling potholes and hope that a paving project will be approved in the future. I've made it known that I would like to see a Park Ave. resurfacing project be added to the list of bond expenditures, but it is not on the list yet and is at minimum 2 years away if it even gets added: http://government.tucsonaz.gov/street-bonds
FYI for all reading this, Park is scheduled to get a facelift/improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists but the vehicle roadway itself is not scheduled for any improvements. Call your City representatives in Transportation and tell them you want Park Ave. added to the list for complete mill and repaving and accelerated because the pavement is well past its useful life...Apparently Park is not a priority even though it is a high volume street serving the University...the more voices the better. Call 791-4371 and voice your concerns.
Thanks for using See Click Fix Tucson. We are preparing to relaunch a new and improved version of this tool that will allow us to respond to more issues and integrate this customer service system with other departmental tools that help us take care of what you are reporting.
To make that happen we are closing out all issues that are over a year old. If the issue we are closing out was never fixed, or if it has recurred since you reported it and it was fixed, please report it and we will have it in the new system.
We will be back in touch soon with an update on the upcoming changes to SeeClickFix Tucson.
