these steps have been broken or uneven in a minor way since I moved here in 2009 - there is a particularly bad one on the lower right side close to Beacon. I think that the neighbors have just learned to be very careful but it is a lovely staircase and should not remain in disrepair. Thanks for reporting it.

@swimmy44 We had a large group there Saturday for an Oakland Urban Paths walk, and a neighbor at the top of the steps was kind enough to warn us before we headed down them.

I know! The group went by my home across from the Kaiser mansion - I figured the long overdue complaint on the step quality (hah!) was a result of close to 60 - 75 folks visiting our beautiful neighborhood.
