This stretch of road from Rowley to Lotus, and Lotus to Maceday street has been tarred, and fixed and refixed so many times and it is just not working! Needs a complete tear out and new pour.

Lotus Dr. is a sub-local road (subdivision street). As a matter of policy, the Road Commission for Oakland County does not resurface subdivision streets unless the residents are willing to pay for the paving through a specials assessment district.

However, the church and Schoolcraft Elementary refuse to contribute funds putting all of the burden on already overtaxed and overly burdened homeowners.

This area is so bad you have to drive on the wrong side of the road going up Maceday from Lotus.
Someone is going to get killed. If you won't fix it, shut it down. No road is that bad.

Someone is going to get seriously hurt, and unfortunately, it might take that for the township to do something about it. I certainly hope not, but I do worry when driving on the left side trying to get up that hill with minimal damage at 15 mph to my vehicle.

According to the OC Road Commission,all they will do is patch.If the people along the road want to get the road replaced, they will have to pay for it themselves.If we want this action to start,we can contact the Road Commission .It is not going to be quick and will probably be expensive.
