The Greater New Haven WPCA has just finished an extensive investigation over the past month and will move forward to resolve any issues that pertain to the GNHWPCA sanitary system.

Is this a DEEP issue, considering sewage is possibly running into the Quinnipiac River?

Good point. Hopefully it will be looked into.

All the catch basins in this area were inspected on 8/27/14 between 13.30 and 14.00, and no sewage smell was noted from any of them. As this area has seperate sanitary and storm sewers it is highly unlikely that the storm drainage system is the source of the problem.

if you stop your car at the left corner of clifton where it meets QUin, you can smell something bad. I remember when they were insopected for the same thing and it still smelled.

So if nothing is wrong, why is the street being torn up today? Amazing that the minute DEEP is brought up that action is taken. The smell has been around all summer.
