Yep, I actually witnessed someone trip and fall on those roots today while I was navigating over it with my dog. This has been a problem for a long time.

This has yet to be fixed and with the rain over the past couple of days the problem was back.

Hi Heather, I reported this earlier this year, too. It's the part of the path between Davis Square and Mass Ave on the border of Cambridge. The last time, they drained it as there is a drain close by. However, as you can see this was just a bandaid fix and isn't able to continually support the amount of water that appears. It's very muddy, and I saw a family with two prams struggling to get through yesterday. This morning it is a bit better, but it will rain again, and the same issue will be there. As mentioned by another user above, people trip on the roots going around the water. Thanks for replying.

It's right up against the Davis Square Lofts buildings - between the Thorndike St. crossing and the end of Elmwood St. (the opening in the fence opposite the MBTA trolley yard).

This has been the case for 10-15 YEARS, and it's often too steep to be gone around. Are they waiting for a major, major injury lawsuit?

Perhaps we should start a class action lawsuit. It's also an ADA issue.

I believe it's next to streetlight #7.
