As of yesterday, Duke Energy had reported 2 of the 3 street lights in this block have been repaired and are now functional. The remaining outage is requiring some additional work and should be taken care of soon.

First of all, Thanks very much for the quick reply COR. Second, I just came by the 400 block of East Martin Street. The lights are still out and the block is dark. The City of Raleigh tree cutters came by today and trimmed back the Crepe Myrtles around the corner at 315 - 317 area of South Bloodworth Street. Hopefully they will come back and finish trimming back the rest of the mugger's hiding places.

THANKS SO MUCH. The COR returned today and finished trimming the Crepe Myrtles on South Bloodworth. This reduced the number of dark shadowy places in the neighborhood. They plan to return and trim the trees on East Martin Street.

This issue needs to stay open until the lights are fixed and the trees are cut back in the 400 block of East Martin Street. This is a heavy pedestrian area and these people need a safe place to walk. Now that the Lincoln Apartments are open, even more folks may be getting mugged. We would like more police activity while waiting for Duke Power to fix the lights. Thanks.

Thanks COR. The trees have been trimmed back which made a big difference. It's still dark in spots and Duke Energy is slow in repairing other lighting issues in the area. It appears that it is safer here.
