Can you please clean the debris from the Stairs as well. We are going to be celebrating National Night Out at this location this year. We are going to be highlighting the need to refurbish, repair and Beautify this Historical Landmark using participatory and privately raised donations of labor and materials on August 2, 2016. THANK YOU!
Really? Why not start with cleaning your own neighborhood stairs? The crew that works so hard to pick up illegally dumped items is not your personal cleaning crew. Good citizens demonstrate good stewardship by helping where they can, not by demonstrating arrogance. Suggest including trash pick up as part of the Night Out event.
To engage neighborhood involvement, we really need the city and Recology to more widely publicize the availability of low- and no-cost methods of disposal, such as: free oversize item pickup, free e-waste drop-off, free neighborhood dumpster rental, and so on. We shouldn't be relying on a couple of overworked, under-financed city departments -- or do it yourself -- when other, under-publicized methods are available from a profit-making waste management company.
Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.
Thanks for reporting! Our staff responsible for removing, sorting, and dumping all illegal dumping in Vallejo has picked up the illegal dumping reported at this location. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this issue, please call the Grounds Supervisor at 707-648-4581. Thanks again for using SeeClickFix!

Well said, Sharon, but...
