With all do respect, I took these pictures about 1 hour ago. There is always trash located behind the property.

This location is always a DUMP.
It doesn't matter which day of the week and at what time. It may not even be the people who live there--does anyone live there?
May be because it looks so dilapidated others just throw trash there. This is disgusting. If this was the wild it be cleaner than this.

I am also a resident of 1500 Montrose block and this is a major issue! It's disgusting to see people using the area of 1501 Montrose as a garbage dump! We try very hard to keep our neighbourhood clean, and this is a major problem and health hazard.

seriously, this location must be addressed, our neighborhood is being held hostage by these types of situations. there is a solid group of residents who live nearby that are trying to make positive change and need assistance from the city.

I want this fixed too. This property is just awful. ALWAYS trash (car seats, sofas, beds, dirty diapers) literally PILED everywhere. There is also a terrible odor. Its a terrible site on an otherwise adorable street.

Montrose St looks nice from all angles except the one that is most public, the northwest corner. That is the corner where 1501 has become a verified no-mans land. I haven't seen this much filth since I visited a war torn third world country. Behind 1501 is a dumping ground for all kinds of suspect garbage. The trash spills over onto the sidewalk uglier than human refuse. And it never ends. It is unclear whether the trash trucks simply have decided to take a permanent break from that corner, ot it's getting constantly refilled. Whatever the case may be, it must stop. Residents of 1500 block of Montrose work hard @ keeping their street a nice place to live. It is long overdue for the owners of 1501 montorse & the city to fulfill their civic duty.

Agreed, I'm a resident of 1500 Christian, and this property is always overflowing with trash. Residents of Universal Courts (1400 block of Chtistian and Montrose) say that the management has told them to leave their trash there.

This just in from 311 - can someone confirm or deny that this issue was resolved?

This issue has *not* been resolved. It is unclear why the Streets Dept keeps closing the request as the trash issues remain. It is actually worse as of 7/26/10 because more trash has been deposited to the area. Also, the dumping ground behind the property has not remains unchanged.

Yesterday, it appears that the streets department cleaned up the sidewalk trash. Thank you!

It was clean for about four hours before there was a pile of furniture at this location. Old habits die hard I suppose. There is literally a kitchen counter there now, that i tried, but could not move.

Obviously this is an area that we must constantly monitor. A sign might be helpful.

If you know who is doing the dumping, you can report it to the Sweeps Unit at 215-685-4275/76/77. They issue violations for trash.
