The Momentum dealership manager should call a towtruck and have the car removed on their own. Sending a code enforcement officer is probably not the best use of their time.
I agree code enforcement could be busy. If you look at the lot there are several inoperable/physically damaged vehicles that I suspect might be stolen. Otherwise I wouldn’t have spent time submitting the request.
This lot could easily become a lot for homeless people, stolen cars, graffiti and anything else that comes into someone's mind. Our city needs to step things up and make sure the previous owners have done their job in cleaning it up or bashing it down. This type of thing could very well be in the contract that gets signed that the owner must do one thing or the other and not just let it sit and be an eyesore for the rest of us. Maybe our city is too scared to do things like that and that's why we have to look at bldgs that have stood for months if not years but not occupied.
I personally watched car carriers remove the entire inventory of vehicles from this lot around a week ago.
There was security and some oversight then.
They just left the gate open when they were done?
If this property is not maintained or watched, it will become yet another homeless occupied property. Thee are homeless people living in the area right next to the dealership.
While I was over in this area today, I noticed more than a dozen cars are still in the parking lot. There’s a motorcycle in the show room and it looks like they’re not done shutting down yet. Might be premature to have this as a Code Enforcement issue.
Thank you for reporting! A Code Enforcement Officer has now been assigned to inspect the possible violation(s). You may visit eTRAKiT, our online tracking system, to view current case information for the Code Violations online at http://web.ci.vallejo.ca.us/eTRAKiT3/ (please allow several business days for the information to upload). SeeClickFix is one of the many tools available to the citizens of Vallejo to report non-emergency issues. We “close” an issue in SeeClickFix once we've acknowledged the complaint; however, this issue is not "Closed" per se; it will remain an "Open" case with us until it is corrected. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know. Thank you for using SeeClickFix!
