All garbage cans on waterfront at Ferry Terminal. FULL AGAIN. I saw the truck on Wednesday and it skipped the cans and I never saw a the truck on Friday.
Thanks for reporting this issue! A work order has been created for this issue. Staff will be scheduled to investigate this issue. We will keep you updated on our action.
The waterfront was not designed as a camp ground, it is not staffed as a camp ground so having people use it as a campground strains the resources the city has allocated to the waterfront- i.e. garbage cans, and man hours to empty garbage can. So, yeah, not letting people use it as a camp ground will help keep the resources, i.e.e garbage cans, from being overtaxed beyond capacity....
Dee why are you getting personal?
Stop insulting me for trying to make the waterfront a nicer place to be.
The folks squatting there need help- who knows what their story is, I wish the city would do more for our friends in need, I'm not judging or condemning them, just asking that we keep the waterfront clean and not camp there.
I’m not taking it personally bc I have a home. Why not suggest additional garbage cans? I am merely pointing out the the unacceptable attitude towards homeless ppl. These ppl are simply trying to survive and I appreciate that they are considerate enough to even use the trash receptacles.
I haven't insulted or denigrated anyones dignity, only asked that we keep the waterfront clean and use it appropriately, which does not include camping or squatting.
Keep making excuses for your rude treatment of me, you're doing great!
A San Francisco based organization? Now that’s helpful. Try providing your helpful link to the Mayor. I’m certain they will be off of the waterfront in no time.
Vallejo already has a Navigation Center in the works. Simply learn to exercise some patience. These are actually ppl’s natural lives hanging in the balance, which should take priority over your recreation. I know it’s a stretch but try being more classy and less classist.

“ CAP Solano JPA, which coordinates efforts across the county to reduce poverty and homelessness, has commissioned HomeBase to present a 5-Year Regional Strategic Plan by the end of 2016.”
As usual the COV website is not updated with new and current information. Did COV & Solano County ever realize any of the goals set forth by this “partnership”?

Any one of the various encampments around the city that aren't in the middle of the waterfront.
There are quite a few.
Also, here is a great resource that you can start with to get involve, if you'd like to make a difference rather than being rude to those who are:

Working directly with Solano County, see the link to that page is right here on our own cities web site:

Stop being argumentative and rude. You're obviously capable of much more.
