Police have instituted "drag racing details" that work to curb the problems with racing around the City. Rt 80 is one of the areas that gets attention from these overtime details. But there are three Es to modifying behaviors - education, enforcement and engineering. For education, we will continue to message about the rules of the road, and know that neighbors echo these concerns and publicize when large groups face consequences for their actions. We are also working with the state on a long term infrastructure project for this state roadway which would help to dissuade drivers from trying such activities in the first place. I've moved this request to the long term infrastructure category so we can update as progress has been made.
