Would you rather pay for a lawsuit when a child breaks their ankle trying to walk on the sidewalk? Or how about have another child hit by a car because they are walking in the road to avoid tripping every two steps?
I'd rather put up no trespassing signs on either end of my sidewalks or have the users pay to repair them. As a non user of the sidewalk but an owner they are a burden. As was stated above the increase of property taxes makes that much to repair them. It's not a question of concern for lawsuits it's a question of paying mortgage and taxes.
the city should pay for the sidewalk repairs it's supposed to be there property inwhich they can do with it whatever they want. they own the sidewalk even though it's in front of your house we should'nt have to pay for replacement.....just my thought...
The city should repair the sidewalks maintaining them should be the home owners responsibility but not the installation of them or when they are crumbling due to wear and tear.

What ever happened to property owner's responsibility?
Too many properties in City of Bristol are not "owner occupied"
City of Bristol has indeed changed over the past 30 years.
No one "cares".
That's why I moved out over town!
