Dan - it has been keeping the residents of Boylan Heights and Rosengarten awake for several years now. There were noise ordinance violations issued and a court case that resulted in fines, and the noise subsided for a while. However, it has definitely started to increase again. I would also love to know what else we might be able to do. I am in BH.

The police have generally been very proactive in responding to this constant nuisance, but it's been frustrating that other city officials haven't utilized all the enforcement tools available to address this situation. Nightclub noise is particularly harmful to our health. Low, sustained tones that last for hours affect not only our sleep patterns, but they affect our hearing and mental health as well. It's the same reason sonar drives sea mammals crazy. I don't understand why a club owner's right to operate a business should trump the physical health of surrounding neighbors. Please take action to get the club to install soundproofing! Such a simple fix.

We called in last night as well and did a seperate (didnt know) SeeClickFix. The officer said the the decibal level on their first call was below but that is was much different at 3:30pm. Viewing their advertising on the various social media hubs, this is only the beginning of their season. Thursdays look to be big nights they are promoting. It is a shame. Do we really have such a population in our "big" city that can support the need for a club, on a weeknight, being open from 10pm to 6am?

We called in a complaint last night and an officer called back within about 15 minutes (unfortunately my phone was in DND mode so I didn't get to speak with him). He said that this was the second time they were called out to Bodi on a noise complaint that night. The first time the sound meter read below the allowed decibel level, and the second time they could tell that it was "nowhere close to the audible amount it was at earlier" (not sure if that meant it was much less or much more). Apparently last night was a big, well-promoted event. By 3:00 the music was definitely the loudest I have heard since we have been experiencing this problem.

To all those on this list...the only course of action we have right now is to continue the calls to 911 when the noise becomes disrupting. If 2 calls are received with 30 minutes of each other, it is supposed to trigger the issuance of a citation. When a number of citations have been issued, they can be charged with fines, sentences etc. This has been done in the past with some success, but the solution proved to be only temporary. However, we need to start somewhere. Thank-you in advance!

Another sleepless night. What a great joy it is to pay city taxes for the privilege

It was loud enough last night that our windows were vibrating...

Last night - well this morning, was definitely one of the worse in a few weeks. I called 911 to complain around midnight and they said RPD was already on scene but I didn't notice any improvements nor did I get a call from an officer.

We also called around midnight, which is probably why there was an officer there. Definitely no improvements as I know of other calls made even later.

It was still lout at 3:30 AM this morning.

Going strong at 4:30 AM. Called it in. Just want to sleep a full night on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I called it in at 3:30 AM this morning and was told I was the second caller in 10 minutes. I too, would love to be able to sleep every Thursday - Sunday.

The Raleigh Police Department - Downtown District Station has responded. The Downtown District will continue to monitor this location for violations of the noise ordinance. Officers have contacted the club management and recent complainants to gather further information in this matter. All available resources are being utilized to address the concerns that are involved with this location.
