What is point of doing this... You are closing tickets everywhere has any thing be fixed on here ever?

A lot of what I closed is over 6 months old. This issue was over a year old with no one is replying or continuing. Im fully supporting keeping issues open if they exist, but if there is no support or no one is addressing them then they should be closed so new active issues can be addressed.

@Really - Cary does not support seeclickfix the way Raleigh does. Write or call your Cary representatives and urge them to get on board.

Groo, True that Cary doesnt support it, but Cary does pop in here from time to time. This area is also part of Morrisville and may be their responsibility. Best to look up in GIS and see who claims what.

There are bond initiatives coming up in the election next month. Make sure you vote 'yes' on improvement bonds and make sure your town reps know what you think should be a priority.

No word yet from Morrisville. For the record, Cary has been trying to be on here a bit more, they said its handled through Town Admin, I left a msg for someone there to talk to me on their stance and involvement lately. I love how Raleigh does it, and would love to see Cary and Morrisville do it as well (and all the other local municipalities). Id love to see DOT use this as well (long shot). Might call DOT tomorrow and see if they will pick this up. Its a great tool, considering most of these groups want an email, and its hard to remember to send one, plus know the email, plus know where its at. Here you get a map (or on the mobile app a gps track) to show where its at.

Well hopefully some one will see this and pick it up . As seen in other tickets.. this is a huge issues and getting worse with the new restaurants and bars over near target.. You are seeing so many more people walking along thee all the time - it is only a mater of time to there is an incident where some one is hurt. Only a couple of weeks a go I was turning into fairbanks road and a car failed to stop behind me in when on to the grass.. If there had been some one walking there it would have been really bad

Morrisville thinks there isnt any segment here missing. They are open to looking into this though. Can you describe exactly? I will also try tonight to go look for this, and will coordinate with them.

Further, Morrisville Public Works is short on money right now for these issues I was told. They have a standing list of areas to fix with sidewalks. It was suggested the budget issue be brought to Morrisville Town Council and/or Admin Office.

the missing side walk is between fairbanks road on nc54 and Mineke car centre. I am surprised it i morrisville as the morssiville town sign is after this and I i live on fairbanks and that is defienately cary

:( @really, I got this too late. Thats wayy on the other side where I was looking at. That said where I looked at there are issues. More below about your spot.

Park West is the shopping center I was thinking of, that has Target in it.

I saw no sidewalk directly across the center, on the N side of NC 54, between Market Center st and Ridgemere/Morrisville Parkway. Theres a short bit of sidewalk from Cary Parkway going West, but it doesn't fully extend to Market Center. There's also no crosswalk across NC54 at Market Center.

Theres no crosswalk on the west side of the NC54 and Ridgemere/Morrisville Parkway intersection. There is one on the east side.

Theres no sidewalk on the southside of NC54 going west from Ridgemere/Morrisville Parkway, until the enterance from the stripmall/Mobile gas station there. There is one on the other side of the entrance though.

Theres no crosswalk at the west side of the stripmall enterance, but there is a handicap drop there, and a minor cut in the median. Directly across is a residential st (didnt get the name) with sidewalk drops, so this is a logical place possibly for a crosswalk. To me though, this is not a safe place to cross.

Ill relay all this back to ToM tomorrow.

@really Ill see if I can call Cary and Morrisville about your spot and find an owner. I didnt go look there today. I assume since you say the car care place, its the south side of NC54 (same side as infront of the shopping center.

Between fairbanks and minekie..the is nothing.. No side walk at all on either side of the road.. Yet fair banks exit from a very large housing area

Part of the missing sidewalk is within the Town of Morrisville's limits, and part is within the Town of Cary's limits. Morrisville and Cary are currently working with NCDOT and several other partners on the "NC 54 + More Feasibility Study" to look at a variety of transportation needs throughout the corridor, including pedestrian traffic. Another avenue is to submit your sidewalk request to Cary for consideration. To request that we look into building a sidewalk in the section you mentioned, send an email to Cary Planner Will Hartye at will.hartye@townofcary.org. We will add it to our request list and evaluate it for funding.

Thanks - note sent. Yesterday I was driving down there and they was a man with a small child ( aboout 2) walking in the road towards me. There was no room to move out to far as oncoming traffic and I had to slow down to pass. Very dangerous!

Called Morrisville. Got across of Park West shopping complex and the gas station at Morrisville Parkway on their list. Thats pending funding. I suggest you vote on the bonds in the election for that.

Called Cary. Cary cant do much for the Fairbanks road segment as theres no gutter and the road needs to be widened. They are giving me a petition form, ill attach here when I get it. Best bet is to take this to Cary Town Council for the road widening.

Town of cary, Im not sure if you are officially with the town, but someone does occasionally poke their head in here. Also please quit closing issues, as this has been going on and is not fixed.
