bike lane delineators or some kind of barrier needed in the cycle track buffer on crescent st like the other section south of the roundabout. cars keep parking in the buffer area instead of properly centered in the space which defeats the purpose of having a buffer for the door zone. also a bike signal could be used at the fournier traffic light as its not very comfortable to cross there just guessing when its time to cross.
  • Edgewood Ave & Winthrop Ave New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Edgewood
The lines for final phase of the Edgewood Ave cycle track (from Winthrop to Howe) were painted a couple of weeks ago, which is a huge step forward for cyclists in the city. However, I am wondering when the city plans to actually start enforcing the new traffic pattern on this stretch. Cars continue to park in the new bike lane, seemingly with impunity, and despite the fact that new parking spaces outside the lane are clearly painted on the pavement. Additionally, moving vehicles are still more or less treating Edgewood as a two lane street for cars.

  • 846-882 Edgewood Ave New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
People keep illegally parking in the cycletrack on this block without consequence. The plastic delineators were recently replaced but they do nothing to prevent this from happening. Hard protection is needed to keep everyone safe.

RE: New bike lane on Wall St
At Temple and Wall a stop sign was added for the newly created bike lane for bikes traveling west bound on Wall st. This sign is clearly visible for cars exiting the parking lot between the church and existing building. When visitors see the stop sign they assume Wall st is two-way traffic and turn left to go to Temple. Driving the wrong way. Wall St is one way east bound. Something needs to be done to alert drivers leaving the parking lot that Wall St is one way east. Since the bike lanes creation I have seen 8-10 drivers go the wrong way. Prior to the bike lane, I honestly can't remember any.
  • Orange St & Trumbull St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - New Haven
Cars constantly run the red light here as they enter and exit the highway at high speeds. Can we install some bollards (not flex posts) to restrict lane width and provide refuge for bikes and pedestrians at the crosswalks. Or can we get an officer posted to cite these violations that endanger pedestrians everyday. Or can we get some automatic enforcement? Any solution is welcome. Just notifying some department or assigning this issue is not a solution. This app does the notification, now you take the next steps to keep our city safe. Why do we prioritize non resident commuters in private vehicles over the safety of our neighbors who are walking or riding to work.
  • 399-405 George St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Dwight
George street is a highly passing street with fast cars but no protected bike lane, it would be great to have a protected bike lane here.
  • Edgewood Ave & Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Edgewood
Broken glass and car crash parts littering the cycletrack. Delineators need replacement, too.
