What is the purpose of identifying these two men as "Asian"?

Oh please. I'm super liberal, but the PC police give us a bad name. I said it bc they ARE ASIAN. Just like if they were white I'd have said white, black, Hispanic etc. What if I end up speaking to the cops about it, and say "two males...." What do you think their very next question would be!??

Dumping waste products into catchment basins is illegal. We urge the city to promptly investigate and take appropriate action.

Merely pointing out that categorical racial identification with no other identifying characteristics (short hair, long hair, height, age, clothing ... for example) is not helpful.

But clearly there are some anger issues out there over the mention of race! Hope you guys can sort yourselves out.
