Description

Afternoon rush hour traffic bottlenecks at the intersection of West WT Harris Blvd and I485 North due to lane reduction from 2 lanes to 1 travelling westbound on WT Harris. Drivers cause problems when they rush to the end of the right lane where the lane expires and forces their vehicles into the the left lane at the point when traffic is reduced to 1 single lane.

There has been hundreds of new apartments built in the area and the traffic flow has grown constantly. The lanes on WT Harris Blvd were supposed to be 2 lanes a side in both directions from the interesction of i485 when that segment of the interstate was completed years ago. We need to address this before a serious accident occurs. It is not a lot of work, but it does warrant the attention of the DOT.
