Description
Cars often do not stop for pedestrians at this crosswalk that connects neighborhoods to a busy park and playground. My neighbor was walking and hit by a car close to here, and I often see kids running across this crosswalk to get to school. Safety could be vastly improved (especially with daylight savings time) by adding a crosswalk button that activates flashing yellow lights.

Thank you for reporting your concern to the City of Medford via SeeClickFix. This issue has been received by our department. We have reviewed the information you provided and offer the following.
We will add an in-street pedestrian warning sign to add additional warning/awareness to be aware of pedestrians in the crosswalk. In terms of a push button activated or another enhanced sign/crossing, we will investigate the feasibility at this location as well as add it to the list of requests for this type of treatment. The requests outnumber the resources with regard to enhanced crossings.
