Did they plan to come back for it? The tree was left adjacent to my property with no explination or notice left to me by the company or the property owner, so as far as I know they left it there for good.

I would assume someone will come back for it. The tree company was acting on behalf of the city / dominion power as that tree had fallen across the alley and taken out power lines. Not sure if you saw the removal, but they had to bring in God's own crane to lift that thing out of the alley. Couldn't get it up first try and had to cut off some length. Crane was rated at 250 tons and was carrying 36 tons of counter weight.

Glad you reported that it's still there. Just wanted to note that the crew, who didn't leave the scene until 11:30 p.m. at night, did the best they could given the situation. Pic below is from when they started at 6:00 p.m. after spending the day pulling the tree off that house that was hit in the 3900 block of Fauquier.

Wrong Address

Did the work crew have a hard time finding it? It's still there, about the size of a F250, sitting by the street. I'll report it with the Fauquier Address even though it's on Nottoway.

In fact, I'm going to reopen this. It isn't fixed. You can find the tree using the address I mistakenly put in the first place. I'm going to call every city official I can get contact info for until this is solved. Do not underestimate my free time. If I'm not at least acknowledged as a person with a real issue, I'm going to continue to escalate this. It all could have been avoided by just telling me you are aware of the issue and are working on it, and thanks for being patient. But ignoring me and closing the issue has made it much, much worse. I'll be nice and polite on the phone and via email, but you'll hear from me multiple times a day every day until this is solved.

This request has been received and submitted to the City agencies for review and appropriate action.

I do not take automated replies as acknowledgement, unfortunately. Until a real person gives me a response, I will continue my polite but persistent communications.

Ms. Townes from Councilman Hilbert's office has been made aware of this issue, hopefully they can help move things along. We now know it is indeed the city's responsibility as it was in a city alley before being moved to its current location. It is quite annoying to see requests being completed that were made after my initial request.
