Thank You for reporting, The Downtown area is swept every M, W & F between 5:00 AM & 7:30 AM This stretch of Sonoma Blvd is in that area however if cars are parked along the route it is impossible for the sweeper drivers to get all of the garbage. We sweep it 3 times a week and do our best to keep the area clean.
That seems fair. You tried, and failed to clean up the trash three times this week. You'll keep on trying, and keep on failing. No need to change anything. Case closed, well done.
The maintenance Dept. has posted this block with 4 signs for M,W & F from 5AM - 7:30 AM to Sweep the street, If there are cars parked there we cannot sweep the gutter. Maintenance does not have the authority to tow vehicles.
"Maintenance does not have the authority to tow vehicles." -- Then it should have that authority, or be able to call on someone who does. Yet another case of under-financed, over-worked city employees taking the rap for a few other "VIP union" employees who get to make their own rules, and set their own budgets.
BTW,on the subject of VIP employees, I've never had an answer to my question: "Why is that City Hall has restrooms on every floor, but only those on the top floor have combination locks? Whom are they afraid to mix with?
Someone suggested that the locks are to keep out transients but, if so, why lock only the restrooms least accessible from the street?
Others say these questions are irrelevant on SeeClickFix. I reply that almost every posting here involves the work of, and gets a response from lower echelon employees, in cash-starved departments, who have little authority to decide how to better get their job done. Questions that need resolution from those top floor City Hall folks go unread and unanswered. Indeed, as we're regularly reminded, some of the biggest budget, highest paid employees make no secret that they completely ignore SeeClickFix.
